A dental mirror is a great tool to have at home to inspect every tooth from every angle, mostly in those places that are hard to see.  Inspect your teeth and everyone in your family.

Checking your teeth regularly will keep your mouth in optimal condition.  It's super easy and very enjoyable.

A dental mirror will help you check for:

✓Stains appearing (yellowing or discoloration).

✓Wear on tooth  (enamel missing or tooth filed/ground down).

✓Plaque or tartar buildup on the teeth.

✓ Tiny “pinpoint” holes in the teeth (possibly a cavity).

✓ Crooked, chipped, cracked tooth or a filling that is chipped/cracked?

✓Teeth spacing out.

✓Irritated gums, they should be a healthy, pleasant pink color.

✓Stuck Food left in between teeth and molars.

✓Healthy tissues of the tongue and cheeks.

HOW TO USE:

In a well lighted space, position yourself in front of a mirror.  Grab the mouth mirror and start at the end of either side of the lower jaw.  Use the mirror to see the teeth in it. Inspect for all the points mentioned above, teeth by teeth, in the lower and upper jaw.

HOW DO I KEEP MY MOUTH MIRROR FROM FOGGING UP?

Use warm water to bring the temperature of the mirror closer to the mouth's temperature.

HOW TO CLEAN:

Use alcohol with a gauze to clean your mirror before and after use.  Some use boiling water for 15 minutes.  BUT some also say that boiling water is not recommended since it will cause it to rust.  Please use the method you feel comfortable with.
